Meet Rileigh: Powering National Sign Team's Growth

Labor Day gives us a good excuse to talk about something we probably do not talk about enough: the people behind National Sign Team.

Signs are what our clients see. Behind those signs are people managing schedules, answering questions, coordinating details, solving problems, keeping projects organized, and making sure things continue moving forward.

As National Sign Team grows, so does that team. And one of the people we are very happy to have with us is Rileigh. She has not been here forever, but she did not need much time to become an important part of what we do.

So, in honor of Labor Day and the people who make National Sign Team work, we thought you should meet her.

Meet Rileigh

First things first. Rileigh likes coffee. That may not technically be part of her job description, but around here it certainly does not hurt.

She is also organized, energetic, detail-oriented, and very good at keeping things moving. Those last few are much more important when you work in the sign industry.

There are a lot of moving pieces behind a sign project. Clients, designers, fabricators, permitting, installers, schedules, locations, changes, approvals, and the occasional surprise nobody was expecting. Keeping all of that organized matters.

Rileigh has a natural ability to keep track of the details without losing sight of what everyone is actually trying to accomplish. She communicates well, asks questions, and jumps in when something needs to get done. Basically, she fits in pretty well around here.

There Is Some Serious Brainpower Behind the Coffee

Rileigh is an LSU graduate, and she did more than simply make it through college.

Business Management & Communication

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University in 2021. Then she kept going. In 2022, she earned her MBA.

That combination makes a lot of sense for the work she is doing at National Sign Team. Business management gives her a strong understanding of how organizations, projects, and processes fit together. Communication helps with something that is absolutely critical in our industry: making sure people are actually talking to each other. A sign project can involve the client, property owner, designer, fabricator, installer, permitting department, and project manager. Good communication keeps small questions from becoming big problems. Rileigh is very good at it.

She Was Also Named an LSU Rucks Fellow

Here is another thing we learned about Rileigh that deserves some attention. During her senior year, she was selected as a 2021 LSU Rucks Fellow. The recognition is awarded by LSU faculty to top graduating management students.

So when we say she is smart, we are not just being nice because she works here. LSU already backed us up on that one.

Being recognized as a Rucks Fellow says a lot about the way Rileigh approaches her work. She takes what she is doing seriously, she likes understanding how things work, and she wants to do things well. We see those same qualities every day at National Sign Team.

Growing Means Adding the Right People

We have talked quite a bit lately about National Sign Team growing. Growth is exciting. It also creates challenges.

More projects mean more things happening at once. More clients mean more communication. More locations mean more schedules, approvals, permits, installations, and details that need to be managed. The answer is not simply adding more people. It is adding the right people.

People who actually care about the work and the final outcome.

People who keep clients and teams informed before issues arise.

People who figure out solutions instead of creating roadblocks.

You need people who understand that the person on the other end of the phone or email has a deadline too. Rileigh has been a great addition because she brings those qualities to the team. And ultimately, that benefits our clients. When our internal team communicates better and stays organized, projects move better. That is the kind of growth we want.

There Is More to Rileigh Than Work

Of course, nobody wants their entire introduction to be a list of degrees and work accomplishments. So we asked a few more important questions.

When Rileigh is not helping keep National Sign Team organized, she loves the beach, being outside, and finding any excuse to get out on the water.

She loves Christmas, which means we now know who is likely to start talking about decorations entirely too early in the year.

Rileigh traveled to Paris for the 2024 Olympics. That is going to be difficult for the rest of us to beat when someone asks about our favorite vacation.

She is also an early bird. Mostly. Weekends apparently have different rules.

Labor Day Is Really About the People Who Do the Work

It is easy for a company to talk about what it makes.

We make signs. But signs do not survey themselves. They do not get permits themselves. They do not answer client emails, coordinate schedules, solve installation problems, check details, or figure out what needs to happen next.

People do that.

National Sign Team has spent more than 40 years in this industry, and one thing has not changed during that time: good people make the difference. That is why growing our team matters to us. Every time we bring someone into National Sign Team, we are not simply filling a position. We are adding another person our clients are going to depend on.

Rileigh has already shown us that she is exactly that kind of person.

We are happy to have her here. We are excited to see where she grows with National Sign Team, and we know plenty of our clients will get the opportunity to work with her along the way.

So this Labor Day, while we celebrate all of the hardworking people who keep businesses moving across the country, we also want to take a minute to recognize some of our own.
